Wednesday, July 11thThe Two Faces of Infidelity

Dr. Tim speaks with Rebecca Halton and Shelley Hendrix about overcoming the pain of infidelity.

Bio: Rebecca Halton will be one of the first people to tell you she's made mistakes. Some of those mistakes resulted in an adulterous relationship in her early 20s (even as a Christian and Christian-college graduate). A believer in the power of God's forgiveness, she repented of that relationship and re-committed her life to Christ.

Her adultery, which she wrote about in her book "Words from the Other Woman" was one of the most painful -- yet powerful -- experiences of her life. Thankfully, like the woman in John 8, she left her life of adultery and never looked back, except to thank God for what He's brought her from...

...now, Rebecca is an advocate, encourager, TeamRedeemed.org Co-Captain and writer. She's especially passionate about writing about her faith and life as a "redeemed adulteress," and how we can pursue and receive God's best for the future – no matter what's happened in our pasts.

Rebecca is a freelance writer with an extensive background in communications, as well as a regular contributor to iBelieve.com – and an alumna of Messiah College and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She also currently serves our men and women in uniform, as a volunteer media coordinator for wear blue: run to remember.  To learn more, visit www.rebeccahalton.com.

Shelley Hendrix is a wife, mother, Bible teacher, speaker, author, and television talk show host—It is her passion to help others live on purpose and without the pressure most of us feel today.

Shelley hosts “Atlanta Live!”~ a Christian Talk Show on Atlanta's WATC TV 57 and has been featured on radio and TV, including Fox News Live. She speaks at various events nationwide and is also a published author. Shelley has written several studies and books, including “On Purpose for a Purpose” and “Wisdom: A Girl’s Best Friend” as well her newest book, “Why Can’t We Just Get Along?!” with Harvest House Publishing just released. She has also contributed to devotions and curriculum for Barbour Publishing and Randall House Publishing as well as several national blogs.

In 2007, Church 4 Chicks was launched in the Atlanta area with the mission to create events and resources to help women live with purpose, but without the pressure (that so many women today feel). This ministry was born after spending over a decade serving women in her home church and in her speaking ministry. To learn more, visit www.shelleyhendrix.com.

Shelley is honored to be married to her best friend, Stephen Hendrix, MA, CADC II, Clinical Programs Operator of HopeQuest Ministries Group, Inc. They have three amazing children (whom God uses to teach them much!) and travel from Atlanta, Georgia.
